Riverhide is a self-catering villa, so guests need to bring their own food, snacks, drinks and preferred cooking ingredients. We’ve included a few thoughtful extras below to make preparing for river days, farm walks, fishing and cycling a little easier.

All water at Riverhide is treated and drinkable. The kitchen is also equipped with an additional reverse-osmosis water system for filtered drinking water.

Where to stock up nearby

Riverhide is peaceful and private, so we recommend doing your main grocery shop before arrival.

Bonnievale

±17 minutes / 17 km

Good for basics or a quick top-up. Bonnievale Build & Save also has additional fishing gear and bait available.

Swellendam

±24 minutes / 30 km

Better for a bigger shop, with larger stores such as Checkers, as well as shops like Clicks for toiletries or medication.

Robertson

±33 minutes / 44 km

A lovely outing if you want to combine shopping with wine farms, restaurants or exploring the Robertson Wine Valley.
